This policy covers cookies set by www.actuly.co. It explains which cookies we use, what each one does, how long it stays on your device and how to change your choice.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your computer or phone when you visit a website. They let the site recognise your device on your next visit. We use the word "cookies" here for any file that collects information in this way.
The cookies we set
We sort our cookies into two groups. The first group is always on because the site cannot work properly without it. The second group is off until you accept it in the banner shown on your first visit.
Strictly necessary
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| actuly_cookie_consent | Actuly | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies, so we do not ask again. | 1 year |
Analytics, only with your consent
If you click Accept in the banner we load Google Analytics, which sets its own cookies. If you click Reject, it does not load and none of these cookies are set.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Tells one visitor apart from another so we can count visits and see which pages are read. | 2 years |
| _ga_* | Google Analytics | Keeps the state of the current browsing session for the same purpose. | 2 years |
Google Analytics is provided by Google LLC, which may process data outside the United Kingdom under the safeguards described in our Privacy Policy.
The Actuly application
When you sign in to Actuly itself, the application sets the cookies and browser storage needed to keep you signed in and secure. The first time you sign in it asks whether you will allow Google Analytics, which records which pages and features are used and sets the same _ga cookies listed above on the application's own domain. If you say no, it does not load and no analytics cookies are set. Your answer is saved to your account so you are asked once; to change it, email hello@actuly.co. The application does not set marketing cookies.
Other websites we link to
Some links on this site go to other companies' websites, for example to book a demo. Those sites set their own cookies under their own policies, which we do not control.
Changing your choice
To change your answer, use the Cookie Preferences link in the footer of any page. The banner appears again and your new choice replaces the old one. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings, though blocking the strictly necessary cookie means we will ask for your choice on every visit.
Questions
If you have any questions about this policy, email hello@actuly.co. More general information about cookies is available at allaboutcookies.org.
